The fiery defeat of the Kotov occurred in the territorial waters of Ukraine, not far from the Kerch Strait, Ukrainian intelligence said.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the value of the sunken ship is about $65 million. The mission took place in cooperation with the Navy and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, the intelligence service added.
Earlier, a video of the likely destruction of a ship near Muscovite-occupied Ukrainian Kerch was published online. On it, the sounds of gunfire are heard, and then an explosion is seen near an object similar to a ship.
