A bill has been proposed in Ukraine to establish payments for the destruction or seizure of Russian equipment. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine support a bill establishing a number of additional payments and benefits to motivate military personnel.

This was announced by the initiator of the draft law, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko.
We inform you that based on the results of processing at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the draft law is supported with the attached comments and suggestions,” says the letter from the Ministry of Defense.
The letter from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that the bill “is supported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine without comments.”
Earlier, people’s deputies registered in the Verkhovna Rada a bill “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on the motivation of military service” (No. 11012).
In particular, the bill proposes to establish payments for the destruction or capture of enemy equipment.
It is planned to provide the following payments:
- For a tank – 200-370 thousand UAH;
- Self-propelled guns/MLRS – 200-370 thousand UAH;
- BMD, armored personnel carrier, infantry fighting vehicle, command and staff vehicle, artillery system – 30-100 thousand UAH;
- other armored cars or trucks – 10-30 thousand UAH;
- SAM – 200-370 thousand UAH;
- air defense radar systems – 200-370 thousand UAH;
- counter-battery means – 30-150 thousand UAH;
- electronic warfare equipment – 30-150 thousand UAH;
- Reconnaissance UAV – 30-100 thousand UAH;
- Attack-type UAV – 30-100 thousand UAH;
- cruise and ballistic missile – 100 thousand UAH;
- military aircraft – 500 thousand UAH;
- military helicopter – 300 thousand UAH;
- long-range visual surveillance complex – 30 thousand UAH;
- warship – 300-500 thousand UAH;
- RER funds – 30-100 thousand UAH.
It is also planned to provide a one-time cash payment to military personnel who, after February 24, 2022, entered into or extended a service contract for a period of at least 3 years or until the end of martial law.
One-time cash payment:
- soldiers – 120 thousand hryvnia;
- sergeants and foremen – 160 thousand hryvnia;
- officers – 200 thousand hryvnia.
At the same time, for those who have the right to resign from service for family reasons or health reasons, but have expressed a desire to continue serving, it is proposed to establish a monthly additional remuneration of 10 thousand UAH. Kostenko assured that the sources of financing for the bill establishing additional motivational payments and benefits for military personnel are quite real.
