In the Ternopil region, a man died after several days of stay in the TCC

In the city of Buchach, Ternopil region, a man died after several days of stay in the local territorial center for recruitment and social support. Law enforcement officials have ordered a forensic examination. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office.

It was learned that on February 25, the man came to TCC to verify military registration documents and undergo a military medical commission. However, due to alcohol intoxication, he did not undergo a medical examination.

“Two days later, on February 27, at about 5 pm, while on the territory of the recruitment center, the soldier’s health condition worsened – convulsions began. As a result, he fell to the ground and hit his head. Declared doctor the death, the cause of which is a traumatic brain injury,” – said the prosecutor’s office.

Ternopil regional police reported that when examining the body of a deceased 49-year-old resident of Chortkivskyi district, no injuries or signs of violent death were found. The cause of death will be determined based on the results of the forensic medical examination.

The Ternopil TCC has pledged to assist in the investigation into the death of a military service member. “An investigation is underway into this fact. Military personnel from the recruitment center will assist in the investigation and find out the truth in the case,” the statement said.

It was noted that TCC employees administered first aid and called an ambulance. The man was taken to Buchatsky City Hospital, doctors diagnosed the man with seizures and a history of epilepsy. On February 29, the man died at the hospital.
