In recent days, fires in open areas have become more frequent in different regions of Ukraine. The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this on Tuesday, February 27.
“No sooner had the snow left the ground and the dryness was burning,” said the rescuers.
It is reported that in the past 24 hours alone, 56 fires have occurred in ecosystems in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the total area of which reached more than 48 hectares.
In the Donetsk region, 19 similar fires were extinguished; more than 38 hectares of dry vegetation were destroyed by the fire.
In the Kirovograd region, rescuers went out 5 times to extinguish dead wood fires; more than 2 thousand square meters were burned. m.
In the Kharkov region, 16 fires in ecosystems were extinguished, in the Vinnytsia region – 4, in Zaporozhye – 5.
“Usually the causes of fires are the economic activities of citizens, because as the air temperature rises, people begin to repair their homes and burn dry grass. We urge people to take care of land and nature, follow fire safety rules and be sure to remember that ecosystems are home to animals and birds, which can get hurt!” – said the message.
