The police, along with the military, were on their way to a call when they saw a man in a Russian uniform on the street.
Near Avdeevka in the Donetsk region, the police and military detained a wounded Russian invader from Storm-Z, who was shot by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and disappeared. The press service of the National Police reported this on Friday, February 9.
“The police, along with the military, were on their way to rescue a wounded civilian. On the street they saw a man in a Russian uniform and detained him,” the report said.
As it turned out, the occupant was from Tatarstan and had been convicted in Russia of causing grievous bodily harm.
“An invader with the call sign Melky came to Ukraine to take part in the battle – he was promised amnesty. He fought in the criminal unit of Storm-Z, and his task was to take his wounded from the battlefield, ” said the message.
Law enforcement officials noted that the invader was stabbed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, wounded, disoriented and disappeared.
The attacker was given medical aid. He was taken to a joint National Police and SBU group for the investigation of war crimes.
Earlier in Zaporozhye, racketeers who terrorized the widow of a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were detained. They invented “debts” allegedly owed to them by the deceased and threatened to kill the woman’s daughter.
