In Russia, while landing at Saransk airport, a plane carrying figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova and other skaters left the runway and drove into a snowdrift. The Russian TG channel Mash reported this on February 5.
It was noted that the airliner was traveling from Moscow to the capital of Mordovia and was scheduled to arrive at 20:30, but during braking an accident occurred – the board turned sharply to the side and fell into a pile of snow.
It is also reported that along with the coach, figure skaters Svetlana Sokolovskaya and Alexei Tikhonov, who are flying in the Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships, are on board.
According to Mash, no one was injured. Saransk airport is temporarily closed.
