Ukraine returned 207 people from captivity

As part of the latest exchange with Russia, Ukraine returned 207 military personnel from captivity. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, border guards – privates, sergeants and officers – returned. Among them are many defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, Zmeiny Island, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Lugansk, Kherson and Sumy direction.

At the same time, the Main Intelligence Directorate reported that among the prisoners there were no people who were allegedly on board the Il-76 plane, which crashed in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation on January 24.

In total, during the mass war with Russia, more than 3 thousand Ukrainians were released from captivity. Since the beginning of the mass invasion of Ukraine, the 50th prisoner exchange has taken place.

Josep Borrell made it clear that Ukraine will have many weapons

The European Commission has officially proposed to extend the duty-free regime for exports from Ukraine for one year until mid-2025. But it will not be as liberal as the previous two years. In particular, de facto quotas were introduced for the most sensitive products – poultry meat, eggs and sugar. If imports of these products exceed the average annual import volume for 2022 and 2023, duties will be imposed on them.
