In Transcarpathia, a contractor will be tried for theft of UAH 9.5 million from road repairs. This was reported by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.
It was noted that the commercial structure, as the winner of the tender, carried out the repair of sections of highways of general and local importance. In order to verify the transaction for the seizure of budget funds, fictitious data on the amount of work, quality of materials and their cost are entered in the certificates of completed work.
Based on the official documents prepared, local budget funds are transferred to the contractor’s accounts. The amount of damage caused is more than UAH 9.5 million.
