The Allies will transfer to the Ukrainian army 3 thousand 155 mm artillery shells, intended for French weapons, which the Defense Forces received earlier. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrilyuk, stated this in an interview with NV.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense added that France plans to produce 78 Caesar self-propelled artillery systems for Ukraine, six of which will be delivered in the near future.
Gavrilyuk emphasized that the French once again demonstrated their steadfast support for the Ukrainian people.
As you know, in December last year, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced the launch of an artillery coalition to strengthen the Defense Forces. The coalition was supposed to begin work in January 2024.
Let us remind you that the French government announced the provision of another batch of SCALP long-range missiles to Ukraine, as well as AASM HAMMER cruise bombs. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive up to 50 units of such aerial bombs every month.
