The defense company Shcheglovsky Val, which has previously been hit by a UAV, produced the Pantsir-S air defense system, developed guided weapons for ground forces, air defense systems, rapid fire military firearms and small arms.
The drones that attacked Tula on the night of Saturday, January 20, hit the Shcheglovsky Val enterprise, which assembled the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile system and also modernized various armored vehicles. This was reported by a number of Russian Telegram channels. However, there is no official information yet.
“In Tula, the Shcheglovsky Val plant, which also produces the Pantsir air defense system, was probably hit. The explosions were recorded on video,” Sota wrote.
“A strong explosion and fire occurred in the Proletarsky district. The Shcheglovsky Val plant is located there, which, among other things, produces Pantsir-S complexes,” added the OGPU Cheka.
Open sources also contain information that Shcheglovsky Val OJSC is one of the largest enterprises in the defense industry in Russia, located in the city of Tula. The design bureau produces guided weapons for ground forces, air defense systems, rapid fire guns and small arms of the military.
As reported, a series of loud explosions thundered over Russian Tula, and a red glow appeared in the sky. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported repelling the drone attack, but, as seen in the video, the explosions occurred on the ground and not in the air.
We remind you that the last UAV attack on Tula was on November 26. Then the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it allegedly shot down four more drones on the territory of Bryansk, Smolensk and Tula regions. The total number of “downed” drones reached 24.
