Taurus Systems can rapidly ramp up both new missile production and stockpile overhaul.
German company Taurus Systems GmbH said it could quickly launch new production of Taurus long-range missiles, which Ukraine has long requested. The company’s managing director Joachim Knopf wrote this in X (formerly Twitter).
“We can move forward with both new Taurus production and platform integration, as well as inventory overhauls, in very short order,” Knopf said.
At the same time, he emphasized that the main condition is the presence of a customer.
It is the small number of missiles, according to German politicians from the Social Democratic Party of Germany, that is the reason for the reluctance to transfer the Taurus to Ukraine for protection against Russian aggression.
Also at the beginning of November last year, the German company MBDA Deutschland announced that it is ready to resume production of Taurus long-range missiles as soon as possible.
We remind you that on January 17, the German parliament failed to vote for a draft resolution on providing long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
