Mike Johnson said that the White House does not provide Kyiv with even the minimum necessary support, despite the fact that it is funded.
The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Republican Mike Johnson, said that Ukraine has not received a large part of the weapons it requested from the United States, which has already been funded. He said this in a commentary on Fox News.
“Weapons systems requested from Ukraine and needed to push Russia back have not been delivered,” Johnson said.
According to him, in December he had the opportunity to meet with President Vladimir Zelensky, who said that such weapons were never received.
“In other words, the White House does not provide even the minimum necessary support, and at the same time demands more and more billions. Well, first let him do what he did not do,” added Johnson .
He noted that Republicans are putting pressure on the White House almost every day to “get answers to critical questions.” Johnson emphasized that Congress must understand what strategy the White House is taking, where the end point of the war is and how Ukraine can get out of it, as well as why the necessary weapons have not been transferred so far.
Let’s remember that this week Mike Johnson said that the issue of providing additional financial aid to Ukraine can only be resolved after the Mexican border crisis is resolved.
