Energy workers are calling on Ukrainians to reduce the use of powerful electrical appliances, in particular heaters and air conditioners.
The Ukrainian energy system will experience a power shortage on Thursday, January 18. This is reported by Ukrenergo.
“The Ukrenergo dispatch center today predicts a slight deficit from 8:00 to 20:00 at about 3%. There are no plans to introduce consumption limit schedules,” the message said.
It is indicated that in recent days in Ukraine there was a tendency for the maximum growth of consumption mainly in the morning hours. This is facilitated by the persistence of high inertial consumption, which is caused by the decrease in temperature at night and at night.
“During the day, especially from 9:00 to 19:00, it is very important for consumers to help reduce the use of powerful electrical appliances, especially heaters and air conditioners. This will reduce the increase in consumption. power plants will also decrease. Consume electricity sparingly,” – asked energy drinks.
At the same time, power plants produce enough electricity to supply consumers. At the same time, two power units of large thermal power plants were taken out for emergency repair in the last 24 hours. Restoration of other power plants is also underway.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Moldova with a total volume of 2535 MWh with a peak power of up to 421 MW at certain times. No exports.
In the morning, due to bad weather, seven settlements in the Kirovograd region remained without power. Oblenergo repair crews are working to restore the power supply.
Due to other technical reasons and due to military operations, 372 settlements were cut off. Due to technical violations, consumers in Sumy, Nikolaev, Kharkov, and Kherson regions were without power. Emergency restoration work is carried out depending on the security situation and with the permission of the military.
We remind you that on January 17, Ukrenergo also warned about a shortage in the energy system. Then it is up to 5% during the day.
And earlier the Ministry of Energy announced record icing of power grids. The most difficult situation is in the Kirovograd region.
