The average selling rate of the dollar decreased to UAH 38.45, and the euro exchange rate decreased to UAH 42.00.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to grow significantly in the cash market against the dollar and euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Thursday, January 18.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 15 kopecks – to 38.45 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate immediately fell by 25 kopecks – to 42.00 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 37.95 UAH, and euros for 41.30 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 37.82-37.90 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 2 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank of Ukraine today again reduced the dollar exchange rate – 37.8977 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.0270 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.21 hryvnia per 1 euro (-0.0748 UAH).
Let us remind you that in the past week the dollar exchange rate has decreased significantly and fell below 38 Hryvnia in the interbank market. The reason for this is the decrease in the foreign currency deficit, which is why the National Bank reduced the sale of dollars. In general, since the beginning of 2024, the dollar has fallen in price more than the hryvnia.
