President Vladimir Zelensky responded to the situation related to the illegal wiretapping and video recording of Bihus.Info project employees.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky responded to statements from the media community about systematic pressure on journalists and investigators, in particular, in the situation related to wiretapping and video recording of project employees of Bihus.Info. He mentioned this on Wednesday, January 17, in his evening video message.
“Separately, about the situation with our journalists, especially the fact of monitoring journalists. The SBU has launched an investigation and will find out all the circumstances. Any pressure on journalists is unacceptable,” he said.
Earlier, the SBU reported that they were investigating the illegal wiretapping and video recording of Bihus.Info employees. The department noted that unhindered and transparent activities of independent and professional media is a basic condition for the development of Ukraine as a democratic state.
The other day, a video surfaced online in which Bihus.Info employees were allegedly using drugs during a corporate New Year’s party. The video was distributed by the anonymous source “People’s Truth”.
The founder of the Bihus.Info project, Denis Bihus, said that there were cameramen in the video, and that the journalists were not using drugs. He assured that he would carry out a difficult cleaning of the staff. At the same time, Bigus said that the members of the Bihus.Info team were monitored for almost a year, and the cameras in the rooms of the country complex, where the members of the Bihus.Info team celebrated a corporate party, was placed by representatives of an “unknown service.”
Let’s remember that The Wall Street Journal previously wrote that the richest man in the world, American businessman Elon Musk, attends closed parties, where he uses drugs. The billionaire denied widespread information.
