Hospitals in occupied Mariupol were not prepared for the outbreak of infectious diseases.
In Mariupol, Donetsk region, temporarily occupied by the Russians, a sharp increase in infectious diseases was recorded. This was reported by the Mariupol City Council.
They noticed that the number of cases continued to grow for four weeks.
“Residents of Mariupol are increasingly approaching doctors with complaints of high fever, severe cough and other symptoms,” the report said.
It is noted that the invaders do not announce the outbreak of ARVI or coronavirus infection.
The City Council emphasizes that the situation is critical, and that hospitals are not prepared for the time of the spread of infectious diseases, especially in relation to sick patients.
“Medical institutions lack the necessary drugs and equipment. Due to the low level of medicine at work, the incidence of disease is growing. Therefore, an epidemic is possible in the city,” the city council notes.
Russia brought at least 50 thousand guest workers from depressed regions of the Russian Federation and Central Asian countries to Mariupol.
As reported, schools in Mariupol intend to regularly show children video messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
