The peace formula promoted by Ukraine is an unacceptable requirement for peaceful dialogue, the Kremlin boss believes.
The Ukrainian state could suffer an “irreparable blow” if the war continues. This statement was made by the President of the aggressor country, Russia, Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with regional officials on Tuesday, January 16.
According to his version, now the initiative on the front “is completely in the hands of the Russian armed forces.”
Putin believes that the situation is developing in a direction that “the state of Ukraine may suffer an irreversible, very serious blow.” And he put the responsibility for the possibility of such consequences on the Ukrainian authorities, because they refused to negotiate with Russia.
“But let me remind you that in Istanbul we agreed on everything… We agreed on everything. Besides, the head of the negotiating group on the Ukrainian side even put his signature on it. The signature is there, we have the document . They just told us: we need a sign “To show that Russia really wants to solve these issues peacefully, the troops have to be withdrawn from Kyiv, they are withdrawn. A day later they threw all the agreements in the trash,” Putin complained.
He again began to accuse the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson of preventing the Ukrainians from agreements with Russia.
“Well, idiots, no?! And he said directly: if we had gone for this, everything would have ended a year and a half ago,” said the owner of the Kremlin.
Putin believes that the Peace Formula promoted by Ukraine is not an acceptable prerequisite for peaceful talks.
“Regarding this negotiation process, there is an attempt to persuade us to abandon what we have achieved in the past year and a half. But it is impossible, everyone understands that it is impossible,” he concluded.
Earlier, Putin made a cynical statement that in 2014, the war in Ukraine was apparently started by the United States, and not by Russia, which joined the Ukrainian Crimea and started a hybrid war in Donbass.
In this regard, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said today that Ukrainians will never forgive Putin. The President of the Russian Federation will not rest in peace, either in this world or the next. Neither his children nor his grandchildren, assured the Ukrainian leader.
