The Russian occupiers used various methods of putting pressure on the population in the temporarily occupied territories.
In the occupied territories of the Zaporozhye region, Ukrainians cannot buy the necessary medicines. Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorov announced this on Sunday, January 7.
“There is a huge shortage of medicines in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporozhye region,” he wrote.
According to him, either there are no imported drugs in the market, or their price is not affordable by the people. In addition, the occupiers do not deliver the mandatory BCG and DPT vaccines for children in pharmacies.
“Parents wait more than six months for their child to be vaccinated against tuberculosis,” said Fedorov.
He also drew attention to the fact that some important drugs against heart disease, stomach pain, and hypertension are only available by prescription.
“To bring it, you have to stand in a long line to see a doctor. Moreover, seeing a doctor is impossible without a Russian passport,” he wrote.
The Russian military has created a database of residents of temporarily occupied territories suspected of disloyalty to the occupation regime.
