Frosts, snowstorms and ice are expected in Ukraine on Sunday, January 7, warns the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
On the last day of the week, it was cloudy in Ukraine.
In the southern part, no rain at night, rain during the day; temperature at night 2-7°C, during the day 5-10°C, in Crimea up to 16°C; wind east, southeast, 7-12 m/s.
In the northern part of the Volyn and Rivne regions there is little snow in places; the daytime temperature is 7-12° below zero, in Chernigov and Sumy regions in some places it is 15-20 below zero.
The rest of the territory has difficult weather conditions: rain and hail, sleet, wet snow accumulation, snowstorm (heavy rain in most of the central and Donetsk regions during the day). Night and day temperatures range from 1° warm to 4° cold.
Northeast wind, 7-12 m/s, gusts 15-20 m/s in most western, central and eastern regions. There are icy conditions on roads, except in the south.
Further cooling is expected on Monday.

We remind you that in Kyiv in 2023 there was no frost for a long time. According to observatory climatologists, the shortest frost-free periods in the capital were in 1902 and 1945. – 144 days each, the longest was recorded this year – 232 days, and the previous record of 225 days was recorded last year.
