The country can survive on its own resources for some time. Ukrainians don’t have to worry about delays in US and EU aid for now.
The National Bank does not exclude the possibility that Ukraine will face interruptions in the provision of aid to the West, but they say that there is a Plan B. The head of the NBU, Andrey Pyshny, spoke about this in the telethon.
He noted that Ukrainians should not worry for now, as the country can survive for some time using its own resources.
“We remain optimistic – we understand that for a certain period of time Ukraine will have to survive with its own resources and its own resources,” he said.
In particular, Pyshny noted that Ukraine was able to continue the work of the domestic debt market, which is a very positive development. And along with other measures, this allows us to say that Ukraine still has a plan B.
The head of the NBU recalled that it is possible to live until 2023 without emission hryvnia. He also expressed hope that all the measures of the National Bank will help pass 2024 in the same way, but admitted that there are still some risks.
It was previously reported that the European Commission is preparing an alternative aid package for Ukraine if, during the summit on February 1, EU countries do not approve a four-year support program for Ukraine worth 50 billion euros.
