During 11 months of 2023, more than 32 million border crossings were recorded in Ukraine, and the difference between the number of people leaving and entering was less than 1%, that is 142 thousand people.
99% of Ukrainians who left the country by 2023 have returned to Ukraine. Monitoring company Opendatabot reported this today, January 3.
It was reported that during 11 months of 2023, more than 32 million border crossings were recorded in Ukraine, and the difference between the number of those leaving and entering was less than 1%, that is 142 thousand people.
“For comparison, this is 15 times less than in the first year of a full-scale war. So, in 2022, the difference between those who left Ukraine and those who returned will be 2.2 million. If at the beginning of the year the Ukrainians left more often than they returned, then since July this trend has changed. The peak of returns in 2023 occurred in April – with 114 thousand citizens, and in August – with 144 thousand citizens of Ukraine,” the report said.
Earlier, the State Border Service reported that the number of men aged 18-60 years returning to Ukraine is growing.
