As of December 17, there were more than 772 million confirmed cases and nearly seven million deaths worldwide.
However, the UN added that between November 13 and December 10, there were more than 118,000 new hospitalizations due to COVID-19 and more than 1,600 new intensive care unit admissions, representing an overall increase of 23% and 51% respectively respectively in countries that regularly report in the current and previous reporting periods.
Let’s recall that in early December it was reported that an average of 4,200 patients with acute respiratory viral infections were hospitalized in Ukraine every week. The incidence of coronavirus among them is up to 35%, but the statistics are growing every week.
