The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of 29 Kurdistan Workers’ Party sites in Iraq and Syria.
Turkish aircraft carried out strikes on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) targets in northern Iraq and Syria on Saturday, December 23, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense reported.
The department added that 29 objects of the PKK, which is called terrorist in Turkey, were destroyed.
According to the Turkish Defense Ministry, the following were destroyed: caves, shelters, oil facilities and warehouses where terrorists might be.
The attacks came after the killing of 12 Turkish soldiers in recent days in northern Iraq.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense believes that the attack on its military was carried out by representatives of a “separatist terrorist organization in northern Iraq.”
Let’s recall that in early October, Kurdish militants claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Ankara.
Earlier, explosions were heard near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Parliament in the Turkish capital. The head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs said two terrorists drove up to the ministry building in a car. One of the men blew himself up, the other was neutralized.
