The 12th package of EU sanctions includes more than 60 individuals and 80 legal entities: the son of ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev Ilya, Russian propagandists, Spas and Tsargrad TV channels, defense industry enterprises, and the military.

    .

The document mentions a relative of Vladimir Putin, Anna Tsivileva, Russian propagandists and collaborators working for the TOT of Crimea, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, as well as companies providing communications there – and, accordingly, broadcasting propaganda – and their leaders.

Tsivileva is Putin’s cousin, she is the owner of a large coal mining company, writes Current Time.

Among the top officials sanctioned by the EU were Medvedev’s son, the head of the General Staff of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the head of the Moscow City Duma and the entire composition of the Russian Central Election Commission.

Also subject to sanctions were several members of Russia’s military-industrial commission, the Russian monetary regulator Rosfinmonitoring and its director, as well as directors of a number of defense companies.

Some of the sanctions decisions concern a number of enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, including JSC Spetsmash, Perm Powder Plant, Uraltransmash, PJSC Tupolev, Kazan Helicopter Plant, Tula Arms Plant.

Separately mentioned are the EU sanctions against the Alabuga special economic zone and related legal entities – where, as is known, Russia is seeking to scale up the production of Iranian Shahed drones. The propaganda TV channels Spas and Tsargrad were also subject to restrictions.

Let us recall that on December 18, the EU announced the adoption of the 12th package of sanctions against Russia, which were agreed upon at the summit on December 14-15.

The agreed package includes the following activities:

    • The EU is introducing a ban on the direct or indirect import, purchase or transfer of diamonds from Russia. This ban applies to diamonds originating in Russia, diamonds exported from Russia, diamonds in transit through Russia, and Russian diamonds processed in third countries.
    • In addition, today’s decision expands the list of prohibited products to include chemicals, lithium batteries, thermostats, DC motors and servomotors for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), machine tools and machine parts.
    • The EU has introduced further restrictions on the import of goods such as cast iron and spiegel, copper wire, aluminum wire, foil, pipes and tubes. A new ban on liquefied propane gas (LPG) imports is being introduced with a 12-month transition period.
    • In addition, the current ban on the provision of services will be expanded to also cover the provision of enterprise management software and software for industrial design and manufacturing.
    • Today’s decision adds Switzerland to the list of partner countries applying a set of restrictive measures on imports of iron and steel from Russia, as well as a set of import controls that are essentially equivalent to those applied in the EU.
    • In addition to economic sanctions, the Council decided to include a significant number of additional individuals and legal entities on the list, according to the official website of the European Council.
