The Magate mission completed an assessment of the state of the major de -electrical replaces, which depends on the safe operation of Ukrain’s nuclear nuclear plants. Experts have confirmed the development of restoration of objects and have identified further steps to strengthen nuclear security in the conditions of military threats. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy’s Press Service on Friday, August 8.
Magate representatives reported a significant development in the restoration work of the facilities they had reviewed earlier.
At this time the agency’s mission was expanded to evaluate not only nuclear facilities, but also critical de -electrical exchange for the safety of nuclear power plants.
“The safe operation of the nuclear power plant depends on the reliable external power supply. Ukrainian energy attacks have created a direct threat for safe operation of the nuclear power plant, which could lead to emergency situations. Svetlana Grinchuk emphasized.
It is assumed that the results of the mission should develop the basis of a special procedure for assessing the risks of nuclear safety and security in the conditions of the external threat.
The minister thanked the mission experts for their work at a very difficult time, when Ukraine’s energy infrastructure underwent almost sunny attacks.
Remember, five of the nine units of electricity in the three existing nuclear power plants of Ukraine – Khmelnitskaya, Rivne and South Ukrainian – are now working. Four more are in planned maintenance.
