Law enforcement officers detained an attacker who, on October 18, targeted Russian missiles at a high-rise building in Zaporozhye. That night, enemy fire killed five people and seriously injured five others. The traitor turned out to be a local resident, a representative of the Zaporozhye “military reconstruction club,” which unites lovers of recreating historical events, including military battles. The Security Service of Ukraine reported this on December 18 on social networks.
A Russian agent with the alias Palestinian was recruited by the enemy in mid-October. He formed his own group of informants, which included four local residents, including his relatives. These enemy henchmen scouted out the bases of defense forces on the territory of Zaporozhye, and also transmitted geolocations of housing infrastructure and industrial facilities. They passed on the information they received to the Palestinian, and he already sent it to the FSB via a messenger in one of the temporarily occupied cities.
During the searches, the detainee was found to have a firearm, as well as computers and cell phones red-handed. The SBU informed him of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, part 2 art. 111 (state treason committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The agent faces life imprisonment.
Let us remind you that counterintelligence of the Security Service detained an agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, who was reconnaissance of the positions and routes of movement of the Defense Forces in the Nikolaev region and corrected missile attacks.
