In the Russian city of Izhevsk in Udmurtia, a suspect who was “preparing a terrorist attack” against one of the leaders of a military-industrial enterprise was detained. The FSB of the Russian Federation reported this on Monday, December 18.
“As a result of the activities carried out in Izhevsk, a Russian citizen born in 1990 was detained, who, on instructions from a” Ukrainian terrorist organization,” was preparing a terrorist attack using an improvised explosive device against one of the leaders of a military-industrial enterprise of the Udmurt Republic,” the report said.
Parts for making an improvised explosive device and explosives, as well as means of communication with a letter to Ukrainian coordinators, were confiscated from the detainee.
A criminal case is initiated under the articles on preparation for a terrorist act and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 205, Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation).
