France remains on Ukraine’s side and supports its European integration. French President Emmanuel Macron announced this on Sunday, December 10, on the eve of the meeting of the European Council, writes Ukrinform.
The portal emphasizes that the French leader made the statement after a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Speaking about the path that Ukraine has already taken on the EU path, Macron welcomed the adoption of “some decisive pieces of legislation, especially regarding the rights of national minorities, reform of the justice system and the fight against corruption .”
“In this way, Ukraine shows its determination to immediately respond to the recommendations given to it by the European Commission,” he said.
In addition, the French leader assured that Paris is ready to join the economic and humanitarian restoration of Ukraine.
