Germany plans to transfer another 200 thousand ammunition to Ukraine next year. Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer announced this in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung on Sunday, December 10.

According to Breuer, the country is increasing military industrial production for this purpose.

“Next year Germany will be able to send almost 200 thousand artillery shells for the needs of the Ukrainian army. I think this is an important part of the planned million,” he said.

It is known that at the beginning of May 2023, the Council of the EU supported the initiative, within the framework of which they planned to transfer one million artillery shells to Ukraine by the end of 2023.

In September, the European Defense Agency signed the first contracts for the joint purchase of artillery shells for the Ukrainian military.

We remind you that last week Ukraine also received a package of military aid from Germany. This includes thousands of 155 mm artillery shells and a batch of ammunition for sniper rifles.
