A video circulated on social networks in which several young guys, probably senior students at one of the educational institutions, in the presence of many eyewitnesses, took turns hitting other guys in the head and chest. The beating took place back in October in the dormitory of a vocational school located in one of the villages of the Zolochevsky district. The Lviv region police reported this on December 10.
A boxing glove was used during the beating of the new senior students. They wrote on social networks that in this way, first-year students were given a “dedication” in the dormitory.
Law enforcement officials said they have identified all participants in the incident, and psychologists are working with the victims. Criminal proceedings are being investigated, which were opened under Part 2 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Perpetrators face restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years or imprisonment for a term of up to four years.
