The detainee allegedly admitted that he was trying to paralyze rail traffic to disrupt the transportation of military cargo.
In Russia, Belarusian citizen Sergei Eremeev was arrested, accused of blowing up two trains on the Baikal-Amur Mainline at the end of November 2023, RosSMI reported.
In court, Eremeev said he was trying to paralyze rail traffic to disrupt the transportation of military cargo. He admitted that he received at least seven explosive devices in Belarus from “members of an organized criminal group.” He smuggled explosives into the Far East. He allegedly received a monetary reward for carrying explosives and blowing up trains.
The detention of Eremeev was reported in the Russian Federation on December 7. At first, the security forces did not release his name.
We remind you that on November 30 an explosion occurred on the Baikal-Amur Mainline – in the Severnomuysky tunnel named. Bessolov, located in Buryatia. In fact, it is the only serious railway communication route between the Russian Federation and China. The aggressor country also uses this route for military supplies. Ukrainian media, citing sources, reported that the SBU was behind the explosion. And the next day, in the same place, another explosion occurred on the railway, which was used to bypass the damaged section in the tunnel.
