The new 60th presidential election of the United States of America is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
US President Joe Biden has said he may be satisfied with one term in office and not run again if his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, does not intend to lead the White House again. Biden said this on Tuesday, December 5, at a fundraising event for his election campaign in Boston, The New York Times wrote.
“If Trump doesn’t run, I’m not sure I’ll run. But we won’t let him win,” the US president said.
Biden added that he intends to defeat Trump a second time and prevent his return to power.
The publication notes that during his contact with voters, Biden presented Trump’s possible second term as an “existential threat to American democracy.”
Let’s remember that according to a survey last month, Biden was ahead of Trump, but lost to other Republicans.
