Preparation processes are already underway, and construction of the landfill is likely to begin in 2024.
Alexander Lukashenko intends to build a new large military training ground in the Gomel region on the Ukrainian border. Motolko Help project investigators announced this on Tuesday, December 5.
In particular, they refer to the publications of the Voenproekt Institute of the Republic of Belarus, which wrote about negotiations with subcontractors to carry out work at the facility.
“The customers are looking for someone who can make a 1:5,000 scale cartographic basis for the territory of the workplace located in the Rechitsa and Gomel districts of the Gomel region,” the investigators said.
The tender specified 20,000 hectares, or 200 km², as the work area.
“In fact, the construction site and the landfill itself can be smaller,” explains Motolko Help.
At the same time, investigators believe that it will not be a brigade, but a joint weapons training area.
Possible locations for the future military facility, according to the analysis of journalists, could be:
No. 1. Forest near the village. Stolbnya-1/Stolbnya-2, Zasilye and Borkhov (Rechitsa district of the Republic of Belarus).
No. 2. The forest east of the villages of Borkhov, Akimovka (Rechitsa district) – on the site of the former 404th missile regiment (northern part). The test site may spread to the east, in the village of Pribor (Gomel district).
No. 3. Forest near the village. Svidovka (Rechitsa district) – on the site of the former 404th missile regiment (southern part). The territory can be extended east to the village. Sosnovka and Tsikuny (Gomel region).
No. 4. Forest near the village. Nagornoye, Rudnya Zhigalskaya and Vasilevo (Gomel district).

Belarusian So
Let’s remember that earlier the formal leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that Ukraine “will still be ours,” because for the United States it seems to fade into the background.
Meanwhile, Russia continues to transfer parts of tactical nuclear weapons to the territory of Belarus.
