The people’s deputy and fifth president of Ukraine said that he was planning a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
At a briefing on December 4, he said that he planned meetings with the leadership of “skeptic states” to convince them to make positive decisions for Ukraine, in particular, on the start of negotiations on accession to the EU.
Separately, Poroshenko said that his lawyers would write statements to initiate a criminal case against the leadership of parliament and appeal the cancellation of his business trip.
Indeed, I and my services turned to the leaders of states who are conventionally classified as skeptics. Among them are Hungary, Slovakia, and other states, where I proposed to meet and discuss the situation in order to convince the leaders of states whom I know very well,” Poroshenko said.
Let us remind you that the leader of the EU party was not released from Ukraine on December 1. He called the refusal to leave “anti-Ukrainian sabotage.” Subsequently, the first vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Alexander Kornienko, stated that it was he who canceled Poroshenko’s business trip. He received a letter marked “For official use”, the contents of which were refused to be disclosed.
Poroshenko was not released abroad because his planned meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban could be used by Russia for “provocations in the international arena,” the SBU said.
Counterintelligence has information about the Russians preparing a large-scale operation that should change the mood of Ukraine’s partners. Part of this operation, they say in the SBU, is the involvement of individual Ukrainian politicians in the IPSO during their visits to third countries. According to the plan of the Russian special services, this is all to start negotiations and freeze the war.
The SBU appealed to the Office of the President, Government and Parliament to take into account information about the enemy’s plans, so the leadership of the Rada did not give permission for Poroshenko’s business trip.
