The EU Council today, August 8, decided to provide Ukraine with 3.056 billion euros in the framework of the Ukrainian mechanism.
Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko announced this in her telephram.
This is a powerful confidence signal for our reform course and the ability to ensure stability in the most difficult times. I am grateful to the Danish presidency for their clear support. Each such decision brings us closer to strong Ukraine in one Europe, ”Sviridenko emphasized.
We will recall that in July, the speaker of the European Commission Guillaume Meriere said that Ukraine will receive the fourth EU tranche in Ukraine by 1.45 billion euros less financial assistance than it can – 3 billion euros instead of 4.5 billion euros.
According to Mercede, Ukraine had to carry out 16 reforms to get 4.5 billion euros per quarter, but only 13.
