In the past 24 hours, power engineers have strengthened three high-voltage overhead lines of 330 kV in the southern and eastern regions.
As of Tuesday morning, more than 1,000 communities in Ukraine were without electricity due to bad weather and Russian shelling. The worst situation is in Odessa, Nikolaev, and Donetsk regions, Ukrenergo reported on November 28.
So, due to bad weather, 559 settlements in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kherson, Cherkassy, and Chernihiv remain without power.
Due to fighting and other reasons, there are 443 other settlements that remain without electricity. Due to shelling, there were new damages in the networks of Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkov, and Kherson regions. Emergency restoration work is carried out depending on the security situation and with the permission of the military.
In the past 24 hours, power engineers have activated two high-voltage overhead lines of 330 kV in the southern region, which were damaged by bad weather. We have also installed another 330 kW line to increase the reliability of electricity supply in the region. Another 330 kV high-voltage overhead line, which was shut down for technical reasons, was returned to service in the eastern region.
During the day, one unit of the thermal power plant was taken out for emergency repair and one unit was restored to operation.
Now Ukraine does not export electricity. However, imports are made in the evening hours from Slovakia, Romania and Moldova. The total volume is 1358 MWh, with a peak power in individual hours of up to 559 MW.
We remind you that bad weather broke out in Ukraine for three days. This Tuesday morning, 10 deaths and 23 injuries were reported.
Russian aggressors have also reportedly opened fire on thermal power plants in eastern Ukraine. Therefore, the satellite city was left without light and heat.
