The Kremlin is trying to push the narrative that “let’s find a political solution,” but it’s just a maneuver to stall for time.
No state has the right to push Ukraine into negotiations with the enemy, because Russia is not looking for a political solution to end the war. Latvian President Edgars Rinkevichs said this on Sunday, November 26, in an interview with Suspilna.
“I want to emphasize: only Ukraine should decide what its strategy will be. Nobody should force Ukraine into a political discussion with Russia if we see that Russia is not ready for it,” said the Latvian President .
In his opinion, the Kremlin is trying to promote the narrative that “let’s find a political solution,” but this is just a maneuver to stop time.
“Russia is striving for war. Thinking that a political process is possible is not a realistic way of addressing reality. Yes, the Russian Federation is interested in promoting the narrative: “Let’s talk, we will find of a political solution.” it’s just to buy time,” Rinkevics said.
He pointed out that the Russian Federation threw all its resources into increasing military production. In addition, Russia planned to increase budget expenditures for the war.
“The partners of the Ukrainian state should not ignore it,” the politician is confident.
Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics witnessed a massive Russian drone attack on Ukraine and sat in a bomb shelter in Kyiv for six hours.
