“Shaheds” from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation flew directly to Kyiv, while others, from the southeast direction, flew and circled, waiting for other UAVs to strike the capital at the same time.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified that the air defense destroyed 74 Russian drones.
“According to the updated information, 74 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were destroyed by the air defense. That means three of the assets are included! 74 out of 75!” said the message.
In the past it was reported that 71 attack UAVs were destroyed.
As Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat said at the telethon, 66 “martyrs” were shot in the Kyiv region and the capital. The rest are those that flew and were destroyed on the way by the Defense Forces in the south and east of Ukraine.
Ignat explained that the “martyrs” from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation went straight to Kiev, while others, from the south-eastern direction, flew and circled, waiting for other UAVs from Kursk at the same time to strike the capital.
