Among the important items on the agenda of the GHQ is the issue of conscripts, as well as the work situation of the VLK and military registration and enlistment offices.
In an evening video message to the people of Ukraine on Friday, November 24, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky summed up his busy work day.
In particular, the President reported on a meeting and important negotiations with the President of Latvia: they discussed defense support for Ukraine, especially the production and supply of ammunition and special armored vehicles for the evacuation of wounded soldiers.
They also spoke about negotiations with Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, whom Zelensky thanked for his support for Ukraine and for the recent decision on an additional 2 billion euros for next year.
The President spoke separately at today’s Headquarters meeting.
“Today I held an important, rather difficult meeting of the Headquarters. Not only on the situation at the front today, although this is, as always, one of the main points. Our defensive actions, our offensive action. Avdeevka, Donetsk direction, Maryinka, Kupyansk direction, southern directions,” the president said.
One of the important items on GHQ’s agenda was the issue of conscripts called up for service before a full-scale invasion began. The meeting participants paid special attention to the situation in the work of the Military Commissariat and military registration and enlistment offices.
“What the soldiers talk about, what the commanders talk about, must be decided. Today there are first reports on this matter from Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny, Defense Minister Umerov, Internal Affairs Minister Klimenko, Health Minister Lyashko, Chief of the General Staff Shaptala. I expect a more significant study of each of these issues by both the government and the military, and specific proposals for government decisions, ” the president stressed.
We remind you that in Lvov, TCC workers forced a man into a car. This is not the first case of military registration and enlistment office employees overstepping their authority.
