The lawyers of the people’s representative announced the judge’s refusal because they did not have time to familiarize themselves with the case materials.
Kyiv’s Pechersky District Court on the evening of Monday, November 13, was unable to choose a preventive measure for people’s representative Alexander Dubinsky, who is suspected of high treason, reports Suspilne.
It was noted that the meeting was held behind closed doors. However, the town representative’s lawyers announced the judge’s refusal.
“Dubinsky’s defense announced the judge’s refusal because they did not have time to familiarize themselves with the case materials. The lawyers filed a motion to postpone the hearing until tomorrow (November 14). The court refused it and gave half an hour for review. Now the automatic appointment of the judge must take place and he will accept his colleague’s rejection or not,” the report said.
Dubinsky, in a comment to reporters, said he and his lawyers were leaving.
“There should be automatic distribution of the case to another judge, who will consider the challenge provided by my lawyers, will decide to challenge or not to challenge. And after that, if the challenge is rejected, then we must return again to the court hearing,” said the representative of the people, adding that they will return with their lawyers when they are notified.
We remind you that on November 13, Dubinsky was suspected of treason. According to the investigation, he has the call sign “Buratino” and is part of a criminal organization formed by the Main Directorate of the General Staff (GUR) of the Russian Armed Forces. Members of the group must undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit our state in the international arena. On Monday morning, the media reported about searches at Dubinsky’s place.
