British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak began a government reshuffle following statements by Home Secretary Suella Braverman. The reason was her criticism of marches in support of Palestine and accusations of police being soft on protesters. It turned out that she did not coordinate the application with Downing Street.
Cleverly, who had previously served as Foreign Secretary, became the new Home Secretary.
It was the former British Prime Minister David Cameron (2010-2016) who took his place. He left his seat in parliament at the same time he resigned as prime minister in 2016. Cameron will now gain a seat in the House of Lords so he can take up his new position.

Although both are considered Tory centrists, Sunak and Cameron campaigned on opposite sides of the 2016 Brexit referendum.
