The invaders planned attacks on the region’s critical infrastructure using missiles and kamikaze drones.
An agent of the Russian FSB, involved in the preparation of a series of Russian air attacks on transport and energy infrastructure facilities in the Vinnytsia region, has been exposed. The SBU reports it.
In order to carry out the enemy’s mission, the defendant checked the locations of the junction railway stations, which could have been used to transport heavy weapons and ammunition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the front line. He also tried to identify the location of major electrical substations in the region and obtain information about their technical condition.
“The agent had to send the received intelligence data to his “curator” from the FSB through an anonymous mailbox. The “report” included exact coordinates and photos of Ukrainian objects with reference to the location and explanations in the text,” said the SBU.
According to the defendant, the invaders were planning an attack on the region’s critical infrastructure using missile weapons and kamikaze drones. If the enemy’s operation is successful, the Russian special service “guarantees” 100 thousand rubles to its agent. The funds should have been transferred to his bank card.
In addition, after completing the task, the attacker hopes that the FSB will “evacuate” him to Russian territory.
The defendant was detained at the stage of collecting intelligence data in order to transfer it to the occupiers. A 57-year-old resident of Khmelnytsky district, who was recruited by the Russian special services in May of this year, was detained. The FSB noticed him for spreading his pro-Kremlin views on his Odnoklassniki page.
During the search, a mobile phone was recovered, which the man used to contact the FSB. The defendant was reported on suspicion of treason committed under martial law. The attacker faces life in prison.
He is currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
We remind you that the SBU detained an FSB “mole” who got a job in the Zaporizhzhya Police Department to “leak” information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Security Service detained a group of Russian agents in the Sumy region.
