British intelligence: Russian losses near Avdeevka are among the largest in 2023

The Russian occupation army is recording some of its most significant losses this year near Avdeevka, Donetsk region, and it seems that the demands of the Russian command are again at odds with the real capabilities of the military.

    .

This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense, published on Twitter on October 28.

According to the department, heavy but ineffective fighting continued over the past week in the Avdeevka area, where Russia launched a large-scale offensive in mid-October.

Probably, units of eight brigades were concentrated in this area. These units probably suffered one of the highest casualties in 2023, writes British intelligence.

They noticed that the so-called Russian “military correspondents” harshly criticize the tactics of the Russian command.

The nature of the operation suggests that the key military-political challenges for Russia remain the same as during almost the entire war. Political leaders are demanding the seizure of large territories, but the military cannot ensure an effective offensive operation at the operational level, intelligence states.

Let us remind you that the Russian army is suffering huge losses near Avdeevka. Since the beginning of offensive operations against this city, the occupiers have lost about 4 thousand personnel.
