In Russia, nuclear waste wall damage was recorded at the Kursk nuclear power plant. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on Saturday, October 28.
Sergei Lavrov’s subordinate accused Ukraine of an alleged “targeted attack” by three drones on a nuclear power plant and an “act of terrorism.”
“One of the UAVs, loaded with explosives, crashed into a nuclear waste warehouse, damaging its walls. The other two fell into the administrative building complex of the station,” claimed Zakharova.
In his opinion, in Kyiv “they could not help but realize that the consequence of a UAV attack could be a full-fledged nuclear disaster that would affect the territories of many countries.”
Zakharova called on all governments to condemn Kyiv’s actions, which are “extremely dangerous and can lead to irreversible consequences.”
At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry did not provide any evidence of the attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant or evidence that Ukraine may be involved in it.
Let’s remember that on October 27, Russia announced an “attack” on the Kursk nuclear power plant. According to unofficial data, one of the drones exploded near nuclear waste.
And this week, Russian aggressors attacked the Khmelnitsky region and destroyed networks near the nuclear power plant in the city of Netishin. Due to the explosion, windows in the station’s administrative, amenity and laboratory buildings were damaged.
