Drinking alcohol at a bus station in Kovel has become a big problem with the law for a young woman.
A resident of Volyn was sentenced to five years in prison for stealing oil. The woman herself says she didn’t steal anything. This was stated in the TRC Avers story on Friday, October 27.
It was reported that the event happened on Valentine’s Day. A young woman celebrated the holiday with her friends at one of the public stops in Kovel. At the same time, a man sitting not far from the company lost his fat.
When the police were called to the scene of the emergency, the men who drank the woman’s alcohol said that their friend went somewhere several times, and then returned with money and a bag of oil, which they sold and bought another another bottle of strong drink. .
“Three witnesses indicated that he carried a black bag of food. And they saw a wallet in his hands with bank cards, from which, as one of the witnesses noted, he took 500 hryvnias, ” said prosecutor Roman Gritsyuk during the court hearing.
The suspect’s defense counsel emphasized that the testimony of people who had previous problems with the law and were drunk that night cannot be evidence. However, the prosecutor requested that the appeal be dismissed.
The woman denied her guilt and said she fell asleep on a bench that day and could not say exactly how it all happened.
The court, considering that the accused already had problems with the law, sent him to prison.
“To impose a five-year prison sentence based on Part 1 of Article 71 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine based on the sum of the sentences to the punishment imposed under this sentence, the unserved part of the sentence under the sentence of The Kovel City District Court dated June 13, 2022 is partially added, and is finally determined before serving a sentence of up to 5 years and 2 months in prison,” the judges decided.
In Bukovina, a case was brought to court against a 34-year-old monk of the UOC-MP – he was accused of stealing and setting fire to a church and a shop.
