From satellite images it became known that the invaders placed four MiG-31 fighters at the Belbek airfield in Sevastopol.
Russia has stationed four MiG-31 fighter jets at Belbek airfield in temporarily occupied Sevastopol. This is confirmed by satellite images, published OSINT analyst MT Anderson at X on Thursday, October 19th.
The photos show that in addition to the Su-30 and Su-27, four MiG-31s are also located on the runway. The analyst said some of them were covered with camouflage netting and tires.
Let’s recall that earlier the President of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, said that the Russian MiG-31 aircraft equipped with Kinzhal missiles will patrol the airspace over the Black Sea permanently.
Putin did not specify the justification for such an aircraft over the Black Sea, since the Ukrainians are striking the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet primarily with naval drones and missiles, which the Kinzhal cannot shoot down.
The Ukrainian Navy noted that the Russian PKS is constantly located over the Black Sea, so the presence of Russian aircraft, fighter or bomber aircraft is not new for Ukraine.
