The newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgeniy Perebiynis received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, October 17.
It is noted that the deputy minister positively noted the level of bilateral dialogue between the two states, expressed gratitude for Turkey’s continued support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as assistance in the context of countering the aggression of Russia.
Perebiinis and Bilgen discussed a number of topical issues of bilateral cooperation and the international agenda, especially in the context of ensuring food security and the implementation of the provisions of the Peace Formula of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
The Deputy Minister wishes Mustafi Levent Bilgen success in his activities as Turkey’s Ambassador to Ukraine, which will help deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
We remind you that on June 16, the Turkish Foreign Ministry appointed a new ambassador to Ukraine. Mustafa Levent Bilgen heads the consulates general in Toronto and New York, is ambassador to Abu Dhabi, and advisor to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Parliament.
The former Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine, Yağmur Gülder, has been fulfilling his duties since January 2019.
