The White House will ask Congress for more than $2 billion for Ukraine and Israel

The United States continues to provide Ukraine with critical weapons to repel Russian attacks.

US President Joe Biden’s administration intends to ask Congress to allocate more than two billion dollars to help Ukraine and Israel, national security adviser Jake Sullivan said in an interview with CBS.

He noted that the United States continues to provide Ukraine with critical weapons to repel Russian attacks.

“But we need Congress to act. And the President has made it clear that he intends to go to Congress with a funding package for Ukraine, as well as continued support for Israel. You can expect intense engagement with Congress this week as we work on this package and work to ensure bipartisan support for it,” Sullivan said.

When a journalist asked if we were talking about a two billion package that would include aid to Ukraine, Israel, funds for border protection and support for Taiwan, Sullivan replied that the amount “will be much larger .”

“But, as I said, it will certainly include the necessary military equipment to protect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as assist Israel in its fight against terrorist enemies,” the White House spokesman added .

Earlier, the media reported that Biden would release his request for additional funding for Ukraine and Israel next week.

We remind you that US President Joe Biden next week will announce his request for additional funding, including the allocation of funds for Ukraine and Israel.
