A year ago, “Schemes” published an investigation in which they said that the Mamon brothers from the village of Shevchenkovo in the Kharkov region joined the ranks of the occupation “militia” – their names were on the lists of the “internal affairs department of the temporary civil administration of the Kharkov region” obtained by journalists.
Even then, journalists wrote that Vladimir Mamon, according to the official investigation, in addition to the so-called patrolling, also delivered provisions to Russian soldiers at checkpoints, looters and looked for ATO soldiers. On the eve of the liberation of the Kharkov region, both fled to Russia with their families.
From the beginning of October 2023, Vladimir and Dmitry began to remotely collect information about the planned reburial of the deceased Ukrainian defender in the village of Groza, the SBU reported.
According to the investigation, after receiving the exact address and time of the burial, Vladimir Mamon passed this data on to Russian troops, who used them to carry out a targeted strike on a Ukrainian village using the Iskander M operational-tactical missile system. As a result of this strike, 53 people were killed, but this data is not final because DNA examinations are ongoing, five people are still considered missing.
The SBU charged both defendants with treason, and the actions of Vladimir Mamon were additionally qualified under the article “Violation of the laws and customs of war.”
