The defense forces repel the attacks of the Russian invaders in the eastern direction and advance in the southern direction.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. During the day, 34 skirmishes took place on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening report on Monday, October 9.
It was noted that the enemy launched one missile and 39 air strikes, and carried out 23 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
In the direction of Kupyansk, Ukrainian defenders repulsed five attacks of Russian invaders in the areas of Sinkovka and Ivanovka settlements, Kharkov region.
In the Liman direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks in the Makeevka area of the Lugansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Kleshchievka, Donetsk region. In the Maryinsky direction, during the day, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas of Maryinka and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, our defenders repulsed the Russian attack in the Staromayorsky area of the Donetsk region. In the direction of Zaporozhye – in the Levadny district of the Zaporozhye region.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol, offensive (attack) actions in the direction of Bakhmut, which caused damage to the occupation forces in manpower and equipment, which were exhausted the enemy across the front line.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out 10 strikes on areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.
Missile force units hit a control center, an ammunition depot, two areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated, as well as a Russian electronic warfare station.
Let’s recall that since the beginning of the war, the total combat losses of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine amounted to approximately 282,630 people. In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liquidated 350 invaders.
